Here We Go!

We’ll be on our way to Southern Pines soon! Tomorrow we’ll be catching the train to Baltimore - only a 9 hour trek - but it’ll be well worth the travel. Right now, James loves everything trains. A friend of ours brought him wooden train tracks (the picture on the home page - but SEVERAL more!) and he’s obsessed. More on that later… if I remember!

Anywho, we’re all packed - four suitcases, 800 bags (not really) but hey, we need snacks! Snacks are important! And several other bags. There might be stuff left in the house? Well, there’s a cat left here for sure. (Don’t worry - the kitty is being looked after, though someone might need to make sure the kitty doesn’t kill her caregiver… hah!)

This has been a stressful start to his adventure. All the appointments, coordinating, advocating for him - it’s been stressful. We all know I’m not the confrontational type and I’ve had to do a bit of pushing to get everything lined up but it was worth it. I’d do it all again for him.

Wish us luck! We’ll try and update as we go throughout the adventures but don’t hold me to anything.
