Infusions will be starting soon...

…but not yet. He was supposed to have his first infusion yesterday but insurance still hasn’t approved the treatment. They want the hospital to buy from a specialty pharmacy instead of the hospital buying direct. I mean, I get it. They have a contract but come on. I’ve been on the phone with insurance almost all day but it is nice to hear when they say, “I see your doctor called us numerous times.” Well no kidding Sherlock. It’s a little important together this drug administered ASAP. I know, I’m letting my personal frustrations shine through here and not making it about James. Though he was all set to travel with his very own Spiderman luggage! (I totally had no influence on that decision at all whatsoever… [Sarcasm. Spiderman is my favorite!]).

I totally pulled a “my mom” on insurance though. Anyone who knows her knows she can be scary and I dare say, I learned from the best. Between her support, the rest of the family support, doctor support and even BioMarin, this prior authorization will be approved! Until next time, avid fans!
