Infusion #1, Here We Come

I have recently been introduced to two of the most amazing products. One of them I found on my own. The second, my sister had one, given to her by a close friend.

For the first one: mosquitoes have met their match! I have recently discovered the awesomeness that is the electric fly swatter (or in this case, mosquito swatter). Worry not though! It is out of James’s reach at all times and it even has a manual function where you press a button to activate it. Let me tell you, there is nothing more satisfying than killing a mosquito, especially when they’re attracted to your son. And no, it has absolutely nothing to do with infusions but the second one does.

Number two: my sister completed this cool thing called diamond painting. When I was at Walmart a few weeks ago, I saw a small one and thought I’d give it a try. Let me tell you, I am OBSESSED! I now have acquired quite a few so I should probably complete these before taking on more! They take forever to complete and will come in handy during his 4.5 hour infusions at Chapel Hill. My only question is…. What to do with them when they’re finished?

The first infusion is tomorrow. We will all be bright eyed and bushy tailed, starting his infusions at 7:30am and since it’s the first, it’ll be the longest. We were told to plan for about 6-8 hours. I say bring it on. For James’s entertainment we have: a tablet, loads of books, garbage trucks, dig digs (excavators), games, and coloring stuff. Though I imagine he’ll be sleeping during the first part of the infusion as they will give him Benadryl and something else to help him relax as they access the port in his head. I’m so grateful they’re letting both of us back there.

As we travel to Chapel Hill, we decided it was time to eat. Instead of doing the typical drive thru, we stopped at Waffle House so James could see the “dig digs”. Also, Waffle House is amazing.

Until next time! Much love from us!
