First Infusion

First infusion was a success and we are heading home. I’m so glad the fist one is behind us as it was the longest. We got there at 7:30AM and finished up around 4:15PM. It was a long day but James did very well. The nurses and doctors both said he was one of their best patients! He slept about 2.5 hours during the infusion and tolerated the drug well. They did a flush, which took about 45 minutes so that added more time to make sure there were no adverse reactions. James’s neurologist was there with him for port placement and came in to check on him a couple of times.

We’re happy it’s behind us and that his next infusions are scheduled. He’ll be getting them every other week at Chapel Hill. Short post but, much love!
